MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Associates and employees at Crye-Leike, Realtors are continuing efforts to generate funding for LeMoyne-Owen College by hosting fundraising events aimed at reducing the historically black college's six million dollar debt.

 

The Crye-Leike office has a goal of raising five thousand dollars by June first, with one hundred percent of the money raised going directly to the college's Debt Reduction Campaign. Patrice Williams, an associate at the Austin Peay office, is heading the fundraising efforts. "Our office wanted to get involved to support higher education in our community," Williams comments, "so we decided to take action!"

 

LeMoyne-Owen, a private liberal arts institution, is in debt due revenue simply not keeping pace with the rising cost of the educational enterprise. The debt has prompted the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to place the school on probation for accreditation in December, accordin...

NASHVILLE, TN. - For the 29th consecutive year, Crye-Leike, Realtors, will extended its hours of operation to give its customers more time to shop for that dream home

 

"It's a commonsense approach to business and customer service," says Steve Brown, general manager of Crye-Leike. "We recognize that people are out looking, calling and buying real estate later in these spring and summer months."

 

Crye-Leike is open seven days a week, with hours of operation extended 30 minutes a day during daylight-saving time. Beginning at the start of business Monday, April 3, operation hours will be: Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays.

 

A federal law, administered by the Transportation Department, specifies that daylight time applies from 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of April until 2:00 a.m. on the last Sunday of October in areas that do not specifically exempt them...

MEMPHIS, Tenn.- Crye-Leike, Germantown-Poplar, proudly announces that the Tennessee Association of Realtors (TAR) has chosen Harold Blockman for its 2006 Class of Leadership TAR.

 

Applications to participate in Leadership TAR are welcomed by all TAR members, reviewed, and an anonymous selection committee chooses twelve realtors to take part in the retreat. Activities include skill workshops, leadership case studies, network building, and communication exercises, all aimed to assist in sharpening leadership skills among emerging realtors.

 

Harold entered into the real estate industry in 1978, and is an active associate with listings of sales in both residential and commercial properties throughout Shelby County. ALPHARETTA, Ga.- Long-time Crye-Leike Associate-Broker Cheryl Morris Oakes has joined the newest branch office to open within the Crye-Leike organization, in Alpharetta, Georgia.

 

As a 28-year veteran of the real estate industry, Oakes will serve the real estate needs of buyers and sellers in and around North Fulton County as well as Forsyth, Gwinnnett, Cherokee and Cobb counties. Licensed in both Georgia and Tennessee, she specializes in residential, relocation, and new home construction services. Oakes is a member of the National and Georgia Associations of Realtors, as well as the Atlanta Board of Realtors.

 

It was her husband's job that brought Oakes to the Atlanta area originally.  "I hated to leave the Crye-Leike Memphis team that I was with for 13 years," she commented.  "Once here, I realized that this area, this market, is a perfect fit for the Crye-Leike organization and I was hoping it was on Harold's [Crye] radar. ...
