It is no secret that Nashville, TN has experienced tremendous growth in the last few years. It even made its debut on the 10th annual Top Moving Destinations list published by Penske Truck Rentals in 2019. So how has Nashville's real estate market survived during the difficult times we have experienced in 2020? I recently spoke with two local Crye-Leike Realtors to get the current scoop on Music City.

To understand how the market has grown, it is important to first understand what really attracts people to this city. Although Nashville is commonly known for its live music and classic honkytonks, residents benefit from many other attractions throughout the surrounding communities.

Blanks will serve the residential real estate needs of buyers and sellers throughout Hamilton and surrounding counties.

Blanks has held a real estate license since 2007, but has mainly worked in the property management industry for the last 20 years. Now that Blanks is affiliated with Crye-Leike, she is looking forward to focusing on her real estate business and becoming an asset to the Chattanooga community.

"Over the years, I have learned that property management is very similar to working...

Nashville, Tenn:   Crye-Leike Real Estate Services announces that Jeff Wright is now affiliated with its East Nashville branch office as a licensed Realtor. Wright will serve the residential real estate needs of buyers and sellers throughout Davidson and surrounding counties.

Prior to joining the real estate industry, Wright spent 20 years in education as a teacher, coach and administrator. In 2018, wanting a more flexible schedule to spend time with his family, he made the decision to leave education and pursued a career in sales. Although Wright enjoyed his sales position, COVID-19 brought that to a halt. Despite the obstacles COVID-19 has presented, the Nashville real estate market has been strong, and Wright felt that now would be a great opportunity to become a Realtor.

"My favorite thing to do, whether it is in education or sales, is to help o...

A home can be in foreclosure for a few different reasons, such as the owner being unable to make mortgage payments or maintenance issues that are too expensive to repair that make a home unlivable. For buyers, it is important to become familiar with the foreclosure process, as it can differ quite a bit from purchasing a regular home. Here is what you need to know about foreclosures:

Pricing:
Foreclosures are generally listed at a lower price than other homes for sale in an area. This is what often brings the appeal to buyers and can be a big advantage for people who are in need of a cheaper home. However, you need to keep in mind that the cost of renovations can add up quickly. Just because it is listed at a lower price, does not necessarily mean...
