Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis-based Crye-Leike, Realtors is encouraging all employees company wide to vote in the upcoming presidential election by granting time off during the workday, as well as periods for service as an election official.
"Crye-Leike believes that it is the responsibility and duty of employees to exercise the privilege to vote in elections," said Jack Taylor, human resources director in a company memo.
Crye-Leike, a full service real estate company, is the nation's 10th largest with over 600 employees in four states, Tennessee, Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi.
If Crye-Leike employees cannot vote before or after regularly assigned work hours, then Crye-Leike has authorized a reasonable period of time, up to three hours, during their workday to vote. Crye-Leike managers will specify the hours during which employees are permitted to be absent.
