MEMPHIS, TN., - In the midst of an economic recession and a real estate sales market some call the worst ever - Crye-Leike Commercial Memphis is set to record its 3rd Best Sales & Lease Quarter Ever.  Pushing the company's commercial division to this achievement by most accounts is a single purchase transaction representing the Conwood Company, LLC of Memphis valued in excess of $19-million.

"This has been months in the making," said Mack Browder, Senior Broker with Crye-Leike Commercial in Memphis.  "The Conwood Company had been looking to acquire a large industrial property and I was thrilled to help company officials find and negotiate the purchase of a new facility at the Chickasaw Industrial Park in Memphis."

The 787,500 square foot Chickasaw facility was owned by an affiliate of JP Morgan Bank and was previously leased to Hewlett Packard. The purchase represents a continued commitment in the MidSouth by the Conwood Compa...

Crye-Leike Commercial, a division of Crye-Leike, Inc., will notch at least its third-best quarter ever at its Memphis office this year, mostly a result of a large sale it worked for Conwood Co. LLC.

The Memphis office will have at least $23 million in sales for the fourth quarter when all its sales and purchase escrows close, a 155.5% increase compared to $9 million in fourth quarter 2008.

"The current economy for the last year has offered some of the most aggressive sales prices for purchase of office, industrial and retail properties in many years," managing broker Dan Whipple says. "Companies and investors find this the best environment in which to buy or lease a new property."

The fourth quarter was boosted when senior broker Mack Browder represented Conwood on its $19.3 million purchase of a 787,500-square-foot building on 35.6 acres at 5106 Tradeport Drive.

Giving back to the community has always been an important goal for the sale associates in Crye-Leike, REALTORS Mt. Juliet office.

One way the Realtors give back is by hosting two blood drives each year. During the Fall and Spring, the American Red Cross Blood Mobile parks outside of Crye-Leike's Mt. Juliet branch office for a day long event.

"We feel this is a very worthy cause for our community," said Blood Drive Coordinator and Crye-Leike Realtor Betty Robinson. "It's been my pleasure to organize the blood drives for our office the past few years. With the help of our entire office and the public who come out to donate, the blood drives we have are always a huge success."

Thanks to Crye-Leike's Mt. Juliet Realtors and the public who stopped by the office to donate this November, 36 pints of blood were donated to The Americ...

"I am excited to be part of the fastest growing real estate company in Huntsville," said Roger Alan Pearson, former Rocket Realty owner & new Crye-Leike Managing Broker.  "I'm looking forward to the company's growth in the future."

SMYRNA/VININGS, GA., - If every real estate transaction was like a great novel, Realtor and Novelist Timmothy B. McCann would ensure every sale had a happy ending. The best selling novelist is opening a new chapter of his own - as the newly named Co Managing broker at the Crye-Leike Smyrna/Vinings Georgia branch office. It's an ?open book' as he launches and leads the company's new In Town Condo Division.

"I'm extremely excited about this appointment and the opportunity to build from the ground up a new condo division for the company," said McCann.  "It is my goal to use my expertise in finance in today's volatile market to train new and experienced agents how to get the best deals for their clients and show them how to use a few of the creative marketing skills I picked up in publishing to sell our listings even faster."

Along with penning a Best Seller, McCann previously owned a financial consulting business as well as a real...
