MAUMELLE, AR., - Teachers at all levels frequently remind their students that asking great questions is critical to learning. Maumelle Realtor Mildred ?Mili' Verdin subscribes to the same ?knowledge is power' philosophy in her real estate business.
"I love it when friends and clients call me with basic questions about the real estate market or would like to have a free market analysis," said Mili. "People are thinking about real estate these days around the clock - which is also why I like to be available 24/7 so they can get the answers to their questions right away."
Mili believes being a good Realtor means going the extra mile in helping her clients - whether it's buying property or putting an existing home up for sale.
"I'm only satisfied when my client's interests are served? that's my #1 priority," said Mili. "I'm thrilled to be on the Crye-Leike Maumelle team - with the backing of the most r...
MT. JULIET, TN., - Buying a home that needs some work - fixing it up and then reselling it for a profit is an experience enjoyed by many. The excitement of taking on a remodeling project - transforming a ?so-so property' into a showplace is what first drew Stephanie Bentley to the opportunity of real estate sales as a rewarding livelihood.
"I have always had a passion for purchasing homes and remodeling them for resale," said Stephanie. "I also enjoy working with people and assisting them in finding their dream home."
Taking on ?make-over' projects over the years helped Stephanie understand a lot about real estate and helping people find that perfect new place. But as the housing market began to slow - and prices dropped - the opportunity to make a living at renovation and remodeling became more and more difficult.
To feed her real estate passion - Stephanie recently obtained her real estate license...
CORDOVA, TN., - We can all relate to a decision we've made in life - one that we look back on and realize - that wasn't the best choice. Real Estate agent Cheryle Grisham definitely shares that sentiment. She assumed all real estate companies were the same when she began her career and joined a small firm close to home.
"I've been a Realtor for four years and when I first got into the business, I took some advice I thought was sound at the time without checking into the facts myself," said Cheryle. "I didn't want a long commute to the office and I had a belief that all real estate companies are basically the same. I've discovered they are not."
Four years later, Cheryle is joining the Crye-Leike Cordova branch office. It's a decision she fully admits, based on her experience, was not a difficult move to make.
"I'm glad to be here," said Cheryle. "I am on a learning curve with all the marketing tool...
BRENTWOOD, TN. - With an ever growing number of real estate transactions involving bank owned properties and homes on the verge of foreclosure? buyers, sellers and the Realtors who represent them are jumping through hoops like never before.
The recently extended homebuyer tax credit deadline is evidence of this. In response to concerns that buyers and sellers needed more time to hammer out the details of financing, inspection, appraisal and other property sale requirements - congress voted to add another three months to the original deadline.
"You have to be a specialist at dealing with properties now that more often than not are either owned outright by the bank or the bank is negotiating because the homeowner has fallen behind on the mortgage," said Susan Diebolt, a Broker with Crye-Leike, REALTORS in Brentwood. "In these distressful times you have to work twice as hard to ensure your clients are being treated fairly."
BRENTWOOD, TN., - While he may still consider himself a newcomer to real estate sales, Don McConnell is behaving more like a veteran. He's become a student of the industry - striving to advance himself and his clients through education.
"Since I am relatively new in real estate I'm seeking to expand my knowledge of the industry through various education programs to broaden my ability to attract new clients," said McConnell. "By sharpening my skills, I can better serve my clients in buying or selling their home while minimizing the impact on them."
McConnell has been assisting clients as a licensed Realtor for the past three years - arguably in the midst of one of the most challenging economies and real estate markets in modern history.
With a ?can do' attitude - the former Healthways Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer is advancing on a steep learning curve.
