SPRING HILL, TN., Few people would argue with a homeowner trying to sell in the current real estate market that it's enough to drive even the most sane person a little crazy.  In Spring Hill, Tennessee - a community that's home to an idle General Motors auto plant - home sales are especially slow and sellers grow more anxious by the day.

Crye-Leike, REALTORS agent Trish Butler realized recently she needed to do something a bit drastic if she was going to help one of her current sellers in Spring Hill - really stand out in the crowd.

"I came up with the idea of having a Crazy Offer Day," said Trish.  "My client has relocated for his job to Pennsylvania and hasn't had a ?workable' offer on the house - which has been on the market now for quite some time."

Trish says the current sales price has been reduced to less...

CHATTANOOGA, TN., Any Realtor will tell you, working with someone who has never purchased or owned a home before often takes time and patience.  As a licensed Realtor, Tish Cook would say she embodies both of those traits - and then some.

"My day starts early and ends late as I always make sure my client's needs have been fulfilled," said Tish Cook, a Realtor with Crye-Leike, REALTORS.  "I love working with and have worked with several first-time homebuyers."

As if the challenge of working with first-time homebuyers wasn't enough, Tish recently chose to join the company's REO "Real Estate Owned" division - working with lenders and banks that have taken back property from homeowners through foreclosure.

"With my ambition and drive, I was looking for a more challenging opportunity with a success driven highly motivated company," said Tish.  "I'm right where I want to be and learning all I can about...

SPRINGDALE, AR., The last day to close on a home and qualify for the first time home buyer tax credit is November 30, 2009.  Many Realtors say the real deadline is the middle of October when a buyer should have a signed contract on a new home purchase.

"It's going to take between 30 and 45 days for the loan process, inspection, appraisal and other requirements to be satisfied before a buyer can sit down and sign and get the keys to their new home," said Glenda Edwards, Managing Broker of Crye-Leike Springdale.  "The workshop we have planned for October 6th will help to educate prospective buyers on the process, the opportunity and the urgency of acting now."

In Washington, bills have been introduced in both the U.S. House and Senate to extend and even increase the tax credit and possibly make it available to all home buyers.  Broker Glenda Edwards knows from experience there are no sure things - and the one thing she is sure...

Finally, the CB Richard Ellis project manager listened, and in December 2007 he started the quest to find his first home.

"Renting was always convenient. I didn't have to deal with the yard. If something went wrong, you just called the landlord. It was easy," said the 31-year-old.

Teague made the final plunge because he was in a financial position to find not his ideal house.

"I'm picky, so I didn't want to just buy a house because I wanted a house," said the University of Memphi...
