Memphis, Tenn. -  Lynette Magee of Crye-Leike, Realtors, the nation's 13th largest real estate company, was recognized as one of 50 leading business women in Mississippi in 2002 by the Mississippi Business Journal. She was selected from several hundred qualified nominations of business women in top management and leadership positions from across Mississippi.

An independent panel of judges made the final selections for the Mississippi Business Journal's sixth annual list of top businesswomen for 2002.

Magee is managing broker and sales manager of two Crye-Leike branch offices in Southaven and Hernando, Miss. She is responsible for the sales management, recruitment and training of 51 sales associates who market residential and commercial real estate in DeSoto, Marshall, Tunica and Tate counties.

Little Rock, Ark.  -  Crye-Leike, Realtors, the nation's 13th largest real estate company, has named multi-million dollar producer John P. "Johnny" McKay III as managing broker and sales manager of its newly-established West Little Rock branch office, located at 11300 Financial Centre Parkway, Ste. 900.

McKay is responsible for the sales management and recruitment of 35 Crye-Leike sales associates who will market residential and commercial properties in Central Arkansas, including the counties of Pulaski, Saline and portions of Lonoke.

Crye-Leike recently expanded its regional operations into Little Rock, Arkansas in June 2002, making it Crye-Leike's fifth regional office, joining Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga and Johnson City.

Nashville, Tenn. - Crye-Leike, Realtors, a full service real estate company for 25 years, has named broker Larry Carroll of Clarksville, Tenn. to the newly established position of area training director.

In his new role, Carroll will be responsible for the training of new Crye-Leike sales associates in Montgomery and Robertson counties as well as continuing education training for the current sales force in that area.

A multi-million dollar producer, Carroll is affiliated with Crye-Leike's Clarksville - St. Bethlehem branch office. He will continue to list and sell residential and commercial properties, along with his wife, Nancy, who also is a Crye-Leike sales associate. Prior to his new position, Carroll was managing broker of Crye-Leike's Clarksville - Fort Campbell branch office.

Memphis, Tenn. - An economic recession during second quarter apparently wasn't stopping house hunters from becoming buyers of residential or commercial real estate, reports the nation's 13th largest real estate firm.

Memphis-based Crye-Leike, Realtors, whose celebrating its 25th anniversary in business, says its number of units sold in the second quarter of 2002 were up 2.25 percent over the number of units sold in the same quarter a year prior. Units sold totaled 6,095 compared to 5,961 a year prior. Sales for the second quarter totaled $861.84 million, down slightly from $865.36 in the same quarter last year.

The company's year-to-date units sold also continued to show steady growth, up 4.1 percent to 10,633 from 10,214. These figures represent $1.49 billion in sales year-to-date, a 2.1 percent increase from $1.46 billion reported for the same period last year.

Memphis, Tenn. -  Representatives from Crye-Leike, Realtors, the nation's 13th largest real estate company, have been invited to share their expertise with Realtors attending the Alabama Association of Realtors' 76th Annual Convention & Trade Show, to be held September 11 - 13, 2002 at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tenn. where Crye-Leike's corporate headquarters is located.

Harold E. Crye, co-founder and chief executive officer of Crye-Leike, will address Realtors at a general session on Thurs., September 12, 1p.m. to 2 p.m. His speech, entitled "Brokers Unplugged, True Stories and Unusual Events," will discuss Realtors' biggest mistakes that cost them millions in sales, one of which is the failure to maintain contact with past customers.
