How does an eight-thousand dollar tax credit sound? If you buy a new home by Friday, and you're a first time home buyer it could be yours.
You have to meet income requirements, and the home has to be less than 800-thousand dollars, but we met one family Sunday that's really thinking about it.
"I just love this fireplace. It's just beautiful," said Carole Collins.
The Collins family wants to buy a new house, not today, but maybe by Friday.
"There is kind of a window of opportunity here, so we're looking at this house. This is a house we really, really like," said Mike Collins.
They're seriously thinking about moving into this Saline County neighborhood.
"A lot of times, you see a large house...

Time is running out to cash in on the $8,000 federal tax credit and that has Arkansas realtors keeping busy these days. The housing credit is set to expire at the end of this week, April 30.

For the next week, there are 8,000 reasons to get under contract for a house. And with a lot of activity expected, economists predict April's home sales numbers will end on a high note.
As realtors set up open houses, time is of the essence for potential buyers.
Karen Crowson with Crye-Leike of Benton says, "We are starting to see a lot of offers. I know over the last week my office has been very busy with offers coming in."
Crowson has been a realtor for more than 20-years and say...

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Months ago Emmaly Carr took notice as a homebuyer tax credit deadline crept closer.
"You realize this is about to end. You should really jump on it," said Carr.
The Nashville woman has never owned a home. The government's first-time homebuyer $8,000 tax credit was Carr's motivation. Homebuyers have to have a contract signed by April 30 and close on the property by June 30 to be eligible for the tax credit.
To this point Carr has not been successful.
"I'm very, very particular," said Carr.
The two homes Carr was interested in already had contracts drawn up.
Crye-Leike Broker Becky Meagher is Carr's...
LITTLE ROCK, AR., - As a former software developer for a large technical company in Central Arkansas, Conway Resident Byron Jones knows the impact marketing and technology has on the business world.
Byron believes his strong technical background will be a great asset to him in his new career as a Realtor. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas where he majored in Management in Information Systems and earned a Bachelor's in Business Administration in 2007.
"I believe my technical side will play an important role in helping me market my clients' homes to the Web 2.0 generation," said Byron. "I'm well on my way to a successful career in real estate partly due to Crye-Leike College, the company's in house training program that helps new agents get started on the right foot."
Byron recently obtained his real estate license and became part of the Crye-Leike team in the company's Conway, Arkan...
BRYANT, AR., - Realtors are often known for working at all hours of the day to accommodate their clients. The newest member of the sales team at Crye-leike Bryant considers his day-or-night availability paramount to success.
"I am available 24/7 for my clients," said Wallace. "It's the only way I can provide them with the best experience possible."
Wallace perhaps may be clearly getting some of his inspiration and motivation from looking after the needs of his one year old son Cooper. He and his wife Tabitha no doubt find their lives are more 24/7 these days than they've ever been.
"Being a Realtor allows me to help others in a way that's beneficial to the individual," said Wallace. "I get to aide my clients in finding their dream home - one that seems to be built just for them."
Wallace and his wife Tabitha live in nearby Benton with their one year old son Cooper. Just a...
